- Path to Citizenship: After five years of holding the Golden Visa, investors can apply for permanent residency or Portuguese citizenship, provided they meet the legal requirements, including basic knowledge of the Portuguese language.
- Family Reunification: The visa extends to family members, allowing the spouse, dependent children, and parents to also obtain residency.
- Minimal Stay Requirements: The program has a low minimum stay requirement—only seven days in the first year and 14 days in each subsequent two-year period—making it ideal for those who do not plan to live in Portugal full-time.
- Tax Advantages: Portugal offers various tax benefits, including the Non-Habitual Resident (NHR) tax regime, which provides significant tax reductions for new residents.
